Monday, May 16, 2016. I have used one of my favourite collections, Happy Days, to create the cards. I just love the fresh fun colours and designs of this collection. This is a simple card to make and is a stepper version. Cutting out the family of owls I added them along the fold of the card to give it a look as if they are perched on the edge of a tree. I love to scrap and I love to stitch. I also love reading, eating and the odd glass of red wine! I only wish I had more time to do all the things I love. Most of my time is taken up looking after a couple of other things I love and they are my two gorgeous children Ben and Charlotte. Posted by Lainys Little Blog. Friday, 6 August 2010. Where you could choose a sketch from their gallery and what a choice there was too. I eventually decided on the sketch from Challenge 39 but will be using some of their other sketches to make other cards.

I used a natural 28count linen with the DMC threads that the pattern advised. I love the happy spring feel to this charming design. I tried a new finish with some lace trim and am quite pleased with how it has turned out. This is the front with the smaller stitched piece finished separately and trimmed with the lace then stitched on to the larger pinkeep. The side view showing ric rac trim.
