Second Event - Sarah in Vancouver. 0160;Sarah Dunham speaks to the Olympics and the Media class about her experiences at the 2010 Games. She spent half of the semester working for The Today Show in Vancouver as a Runner and Assistant Producer. Students read transcripts Dunham brought back from the show. Each packet covered everything that happened in that mornings show. Dunham accepting questions from the class.
0160;On Tuesday, April 28, in the Cabaret, The Marist College Praxis Project for Public Citizenship and Campus Ministry held a Haiti Solidarity to support the nation of Haiti, recovering from Januarys devastating earthquake.
The sun sets on the San Francisco bay on a Thursday evening. Spring was in the air on March 18 in San Francisco with high temperatures in the 80s. The Poughkeepsie Journal box on the streets by Marist College is empty at midnight. The Poughkeepsie Journal was founded in 1785 and is the oldest paper in New York State.
Students roast marshmallows to make smores with. Joe Pepio readies the fire for the rest of the kids to make smores. Cara and her fellow band mate play a show on the Lower Fulton green for other students to enjoy. It was nice to take a break from studying. Cara sings her heart out for fellow students on the Lower Fulton green. Students enjoyed a mini-concert on a sunny afternoon in Lower Fulton.
Nicole Valerio, a Fashion Merchandising major, checks out the merchandise up for grabs at the event. Students enjoy a wide assortment of appetizers from crab cakes to deviled eggs and sushi, during the reception. It lasted from 2 to 4 pm, never running short on edibles.
