Saturday, February 28, 2015. Its been a while! Poor blog has been deglected, its been busy busy. RIP Captain Rupert you are sadly missed. He died peacefully July 2014 at the grand age of 9. On brighter note snow drops are out and daffadills soon, we are looking forward to spring and easter and maybe just maybe it will be time for a real easter bunny to arrive. Saturday, 3 May 2014. May on a May morning. I peer through the undergrowth at a vision of bluebells and feel as if all has woken from a long sleep. There are things of interest in these hedgerows but some figures remain shadowy. May blossom, or hawthorn flowers. Or less poetically, cow parsley.

My word of the year is TRY. I give up too easily,. This year if it looks interesting,. If it looks worthwhile,. And lets see how much more I can achieve. Sunday, 6 March 2011.

I recently spent a lovely few days in Denmark with a good friend. Today she is stopping over at my house overnight, and I enjoyed making the spare room pretty, with the help of a few flowers from the late-summer garden. So often over the years, people who learned about my diagnosis of bone cancer and partial amputation of my pelvis in my early twenties, would say how courageous I was. I had seven surgeries over eleven years and never once felt courageous. I would deny that I was courageous at all, thereby, denying their opinion of me, almost like calling them a liar or fool.
