Its called A Curious Life For A Lady by Pat Barr and its the story of Isabella Bird. Isabella was a pioneering traveller in the late nineteenth century who suddenly, in mid-life, abandoned a safe, staid comfortable middle-class Victorian life to go travelling the world.
