Wednesday, August 03, 2011. Sassy studied Abraham Lincoln at the end of this past school year, and she was fascinated by him. It was a great study, and I always love it when the children get sincerely interested in history. Because so much of history can be dry facts and long-ago dates, I always try to do hands-on history whenever possible. When the opportunity came to travel south last month, I chose our path to take us by the Lincoln Boyhood National Memorial.

Thursday, April 30, 2015. When I started classes with BYU-I last fall I avoided planning out my college future like the plague. I felt so stressed thinking about years and years of school filled with class after class after class. To alleviate that stress, I ignored it completely. Pretty mature, huh? I finished fall semester and still did not feel strong enough to tackle that mountain. Just as I was finishing winter semester I decided I was ready to see how long it would take to slay this dragon.

We try to live, laugh and love . How crazy is that? Happy Boxing Day, Telley! There are certainly days when I wish that life would just be a little bit slower and I would be enjoying it a little bit more. So, four out of five of us spent this Christmas with a cold.
